Zero Waste Education at Marin County Farmers Market

The 'Agricultural Institute of Marin' is seeking volunteers to educate farmers' market shoppers about disposing waste, recyclables and compostables correctly. AIM is thrilled to be launching a new recycling and composting program at the Thursday and Sunday Marin Farmers Markets and need a dedicated team of volunteers to help educate farmers market shoppers about how to use the new system correctly and to encourage recycling. Volunteers will manage 3 “recycling” stations at the Thursday and Sunday markets from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Volunteers are to explain the various bins and what goes in each and help the customers when needed get their waste/recyclables and compostables into the correct bin.
